Acerca del libro
This is a personal photographic account of a visit to Vietnam and Cambodia in the summer of 2010.
I hope it may serve to raise awareness of the terrible and very recent history of the Cambodian people and the current poverty, particularly in the countryside. Cambodia is beautiful, Angkor is stunning and the people are delightful. The photos can not do it justice.
"Vietnam is a nation - not a war."
A nation that has been transformed by the five year economic boom which has brought new wealth and increased personal choice to many, but the political choices remain unchanged.
Vietnam has a diverse, lush topography, with two vast deltas, mountains, tropical forests, a spectacular coastline and serene islands. The diversity is reflected in the people - it is home to 54 recognised ethnic groups. In addition to the scenic wealth, there is art and culture in many forms both ancient and modern and, of course, the food - a delight and an adventure.
