Acerca del libro
In May 2010, Left Coast Design Studio teamed up with Makeup/FX Master Austin Ivey and Hair Extraordinaire Linsey Brown to produce a collaborative-effort fine art photography book that celebrates the folk-art appeal of the Dia de los Muertos holiday while lending a modern design-oriented perspective.
Over the course of five months, twenty models volunteered to be transformed through five hours of hair, makeup, and costuming preparation each and then photographed in scenes local to Bakersfield, California. Over 6,000 photographs were captured during the project, resulting in 300+ editing hours in the studio. The pages within this book represent a highly selective lineup of final prints from those 6,000 options.
Thank you for supporting our project. We are so excited to share the final product with you!
