Acerca del libro
Formerly known as “Gypsies,” a term that stems from ignorance and prejudice, the Roma have been largely
ignored by the rest of the world. The “Minority Report” project aims to show what life is like for the Roma
today and the extent to which they have been marginalized in the post-communist, post-war Balkans.

Acerca del creador
Martha Grenon
Austin, TX USA
Having worked on several photographic projects focused on the Albanians since 1992, Martha Grenon began photographing other ethnic groups in Albania and Kosovo in 2004. She made this effort in the spirit of inclusion, needing to know and show the “others,” after working for so long with the Albanians. These and future photos are intended to dispel the stereotypes and shed some light on the Roma in the twenty-first century.
