Acerca del libro
The book presents images of Irena Konova large painting. It includes also an essay by Michael Disend and a poem by Kate Wilding. The both writings were inspired by Irena Kononova paintings.
The artist intend to provoke the viewers into contemplating ever widening gap between the human-made world and the eternal world of nature confronted by civilization.
Gazing through the openings into the “undiscovered country from whose bourne no traveler returns”, a viewer is invited to reflect on our notion of reality. Frame like compositions evoke Platonic myth in which dwellers of the cave are striving to get a glimpse of the outside world.
