Charli Stardust was born Charlotte Suckling in 1977.
Charli’s photographic eye was discovered by her late Grandfather, the Doctor of Ophthalmology and a keen amateur photographer; he shared his enthusiasm, love of shiny things and later his vintage cameras with her.

Charli’s energy is unprecedented, her creative enthusiasm intoxicating, and her wit razor sharp (developed from an early age whilst defending the ridicule of her surname). Charli studied photography at St Margaret’s college in 1994, worked and travelled the world for 10 years, began studying at D&A in Christchurch 2006, is currently completing her final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree through Whitecliffe College, NZ. Charli hopes to continue studying next year towards a Masters Degree.
