Acerca del libro
This is a replication of sketches that I made while in New York during the summer of 2008. During my time there I kept a Moleskine sketchbook and drew various sites around the city, eventually spending over a month returning to the same spot on the Queens waterfront to draw the Manhattan skyline.
This book replicates the main body of drawings from that sketchbook as accurately as possible.
The drawings carry on from one page to the next in constructing the panoramic scene. The first visible section is at about 14th street, and before I left New York I had drawn everything up to the U.N. building, which was directly across from the park where I was drawing from.
