Acerca del libro
Documentary photographer Kristin Prelipp Oguntoyinbo captures the photo story of one year in the life of Emerson Waldorf School in Chapel Hill, North Carolina in the United States. In vibrant color, it traces the seasons and the traditions that keep this close-knit school growing year after year. Founded in 1984, the school serves children from pre-Kindergarten to Grade 12. Waldorf schools, based on the philosophical teachings of Rudolf Steiner, can be found in approximately sixty countries throughout the world, comprising one of the world's largest independent educational systems. The photographs were taken over the 2007 to 2008 school year and the book was completed in October 2009.

My name is Kristin Prelipp Oguntoyinbo. Photography is my calling. I see myself as an observer who is looking for and photographing the beauty I see in this world. I have spent a lifetime learning to capture those images well. I have a way of relating to my subjects that puts them at ease. I am quiet and patient and kind and I am always grateful for the chance to take someone’s photo. You are asking me to be your witness and to create an image that may live on after you are gone. I mean it to be a chronicle and an heirloom.
