MYSTERIOUS TRAVELER

The road is always better than the inns along the way, writes Cervantes; and the times we live in can especially confirm this motto. The road itself has become the inn, and the time spent on the road has become the endless arrival.

The nostalgia to strive for the absolute, for maximum performance, for the record of existence, for the experience of relating to the possessor, is there within us. And that which technology offers speed is truly tempting; moreover, it is the most exaggerating value that it can create. And the only thing that might match it is stillness.

magáénak vallhatja ezt a mottót. Maga az út lett fogadóvá, és az útközbeniség szüntelen megérkezéssé.

A nosztalgia megvan bennünk, hogy az abszolutra törjünk, a maximális teljesítményre, a létezés rekordjára, a birtokló azonosulás élményére – s amit a technika ajánl, a sebesség, csakugyan csábító; sőt, a legtúlzóbb érték, amit megteremthet. S amivel egyenértékű csak egy lehet még: a mozdulatlanság.
