Acerca del libro
Historians are beginning to tell us about the "Great Depression" as the 1920's and 1930's is now known. They know what was written - what they read. There are few of us left who lived through those years and know first hand what it was like to live in poverty and come out of it stronger and richer in memories.
I take pleasure in thinking that some day a grand child or great grand child might learn something about these people in our history. That we rose up and out of our poor conditions and became stronger for having lived through trying times.

I have been fortunate to have served as editor for two very interesting people. One was my mother-in-law, Iris Hopkins and the other was Sgt Murray Meadows. Iris' book is about her memories of growing up during the Great Depression, and Murray's book is about his adventures while helping build the Ledo Road in Burma during WWII. I have led a dual life serving 28 years as a combat engineer in the National Guard and USAR, and as a secondary science teacher. In addition to these two books I have written numerous articles for educational magazines and amateur radio journals such as QST, and CQ.
