This book was first written for a first grade class, but the reading level ranges from first to third grade. It discusses common birds that one might see in the backyard or at feeders. It is illustrated with photographs and the text explains some basic facts about each bird. It would make a nice gift for a child that you would like to introduce to the world of birds.

Hello,
I have been photographing for over 35 years. In the past 10 years I have picked up bird photography as another facet of my work. I obtained my Associates Degree in Photography from the Harrisburg Area Community College and have taken various workshops, etc. I retired from 33.51 years of teaching third and fourth grade. I have been retired since 2007.
I love the outdoors and my photography reflects that. I take part in local arts and crafts shows and also have shown in local galleries. I guess photography is my job now. And what a great job to have.

Very nicely done. Excellent photography, and great information on the many species found in your area. Enjoyed the preview.
