Acerca del libro
This fine art photography book is about objects saved by people in dusty corners of barns, basements, attics, or garages, spanning many generations from the 1700’s to the present. All of these things are visually interesting...silent souvenirs of life in a different era. This body of photographs is my response to these objects. Sometimes I photographed them as I found them...feeling that the light and the cobwebs wove their own quiet magic. Other times I arranged and assembled the objects and invested them with dignity, poignancy, and humor to create a luminous and beautiful world of their own. What if these objects could speak to us of times gone by and tell us something about the people who owned them? Some do indeed seem to speak for themselves, while others are given voice through commentary, quotations, and poetry.
