With photography, we capture images which allow us to evoke the memory of a person, place or event. The creative part of photography merely starts when the shutter is closed. With digital photography, the picture becomes a photograph when the photographer applies his or her creative judgment and skill with a computer instead of in a darkroom. However, the same creative choices confront a photographer using digital -- how shall I crop the picture (if at all)? Shall I lighten or darken the image? Are there defects that need to be corrected? How strong is the composition? And so on until the final image emerges.
In this portfolio, I share what I think are some of my best photographs. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
