Acerca del creador
Manny Crisostomo is a Pulitzer Prize winning photojournalist and multimedia specialist working at the Sacramento Bee. A photo project on Hmong refugees won the 2005 Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for International Photography and a story of rising childhood obesity – “The Weight” which won national awards including the 2007 McClatchy President’s Award. Previously, Manny worked at the Detroit Free Press where he won numerous photo awards, including the 1989 Pulitzer Prize in feature photography, for his yearlong documentary of an inner-city high school and a 1988 Robert F. Kennedy Award for the Disadvantaged for “Too Young To Die,” a special report on guns, drugs and violence among Detroit teens. He has degree in photojournalism from the University of Missouri and an honorary doctorate from the University of Guam. He was publisher of a “Latte Magazine” a monthly city magazine and has published four books.
