On to Israel, to the city of Jerusalem and south to Negev Desert and finally to Jordan, its capital, Amman, and the ruins of Jerash; on to Petra and the Arabian Desert at Wadi Rum. The book highlights the three major religions of the region: Christianity, Islam and Judaism and contains many portraits of the people of the Holy Land.
