Acerca del libro
The story of Kathleen Mary Willcocks is a memoir but it is also the story of 20th Century Australian country and town life. Kit was born in the days of the horse and buggy. In her lifetime she witnessed the advent of the motor car and later the aeroplane (in fact of Qantas the national carrier) and she sailed across the world on the great ocean liners. She was brought up on a sheep station in Central Queensland, educated at a country boarding school and worked in Brisbane before marrying and settling in Toowoomba, a town on the range west of Brisbane, and bringing up her children. Horses were Kit's lifelong passion - she was a superb horse woman who helped introduce dressage into Queensland.
