Acerca del libro
As we know children can be born with many issues that derived from the mother's actions during pregnancy. Is it possible for a baby to be born with PTSD based on the mother's experiences while pregnant? We can’t be sure that the individual’s environment didn’t cause the PTSD instead of being born with it. Fortunately, some researchers are starting to study pregnant women and then follow and study the child over many years. This then leads to the question, “…if we conclude that yes a child can be born with PTSD how then does this affect their education?” More times than not these students will be diagnosed and qualify for special education services. Some students may qualify for several services and other might need minimal services. Either way, they have a right to an education and have a right to have supports in place to help them be successful.
