Acerca del libro
A family journey across Spain in 1973 on horseback. The journey was from the Andalucian pueblo called Pizarra to Pamplona, the capitol of Navarra near the French border where we would attend the Fiesta de San Fermín, covering more than 1,000 kilometers through Franco's Spain. It took one month, and was the first steps in my long and varied career in photojournalism. The diary I kept on the journey at age 22 plus many of the photos miraculously were stored and survived the many moves in my life, but were not touched for over 40 years, until my father, the American artist Gino Hollander, who had a 30-year love affair with Spain, died in southern California at age 90. I returned to my material and produced this self-published soft cover book as a homage to my father, both his commitment to his art and loves and his inspiration to our whole family and the many of thousands of people he touched, through his love of life, his art, his love of Spain, horses and adventure. Enjoy!
