This is a book of pictures and words which, geographically, is centred on a small area of mid-Wales. However, the subject matter is far from localised, ranging over topics such as the Cold War, pedigree sheep breeding, black and white photography, Genesis, quarrying, anthropomorphism, lanolin rub-downs, colour-blindness, imprinting, homicide, electrocution, plague, kangaroos, mogul fields, stone memorials, dykes, Trikes, abbeys, trilobites, radioactive fallout, otters, Henry Moore, canals, Mondrian and lobsters.
Underlying all of this is an exploration of the ways in which pictures and words relate to each other.
