Acerca del libro
Inspired by my professors and classmates and their passions for fashion, visual merchandise and color theory, the collection of CAPTOLIA ROYGBV was created. CAPTOLIA is vision I have which inspires women (men, children, and others) to be able express themselves however they please through dress. Each color represents CAPTOLIA's consumer market and is given a name.
ROSITA (RED): fierce, inependent, passionate, sexy, strong
OLINA (ORANGE): carefree, intellectual, loyal, social, youthful
Yún Yì 云仪 (YELLOW): captivating, confident, energetic, playful, supreme
GISELE (GREEN): ambitious, bizarre, complex, outcast, punk
BERKELEY (BLUE): melancholia, powerful, sad girl, steezy, shy
VALARIE (VIOLET): chic, feminine, romantic, sophisticated, tenderness
After studying various fields of retail and traveling to China I am eager to make this world a better place. While making people feel comfortable and confident with CAPTOLIA's collections, I believe it is just as important to be more than aware of the impact each of us has on our Earth and to insure the proper needs to those who help with production of CAPTOLIA. It is my generation's responsibiliy to help those understand the importance of sustainability; by being a conscious consumer and to transform our fashion/retail industry once again from fast and cheap consumerism into one that is both economically and ecologically smart.
Even though this collection represents only women, my vision also includes men, children and all walks of life. CAPTOLIA does not discriminate based on any measure of an individual.
This is just the beginning and development of CAPTOLIA.
