Acerca del libro
Brief Artist’s Statement
These portraits were created in the liminal time early in the morning upon awaking.
In that dusk hour are hopes, for that liminal state where there is disregard for aesthetics and the urgency for resolution.
Liminality: def. on the threshold, an in between state, transitory,
borderline, indefinite, Intermediary, disengagement, middle-ground,
a space and time where transformations take place, a transitional
state filled with ambiguities, disorientation, shadowy non-specific,
between past and future, a weigh-station, transformative, trans-identity,
dream state, limbo, shamanism, magic, psychopompery.

All mediums have a message and an opportunity for distortion of representation or appearance. My personal work explores and exploits the idea of representation of ideas, appear and it's potential seductive power. Graduated from the Canadian Film Centre Media Lab(Toronto,ON). My work is multi-talent and characterized by a cross pollination of mediums, icons and messages. In 1979 co founded Fastwurms, an art collective which produce installations and films shown in Canada, USA, Europe and Japan. In 1991 traveled through South East Asia and Europe painting and exhibiting. In 2005 the Canadian Film Centre produced my concept SEED which was presented in New York, Australia, China and Canada, including the 2010 Winter Olympics and at the McMichael Gallery in Klienberg.
