Acerca del libro
The story of Charlie Woodlawn and his nephew provides a glimpse into the world of public education unknown to the general public.
Charlie is a Professor Emeritus with 35 years in public education who thrives on discussing with his nephew the educational, political and social issues of American culture while individually struggling with the twin issues of ageing and retirement.
His nephew, Woody, is a high school history teacher caught in a web of ever-changing professional demands and challenges during the politically-charged presidential election year of 2000. Then, like a bolt out of the blue, an allegation of sexual harassment turns his personal and professional life upside down and leaves him wondering if there will be a better tomorrow…
