Acerca del libro
I have been shooting film for a number of years now and with every roll I run through my camera I realize more and more why I keep coming back for more. Film is inherently flawed, it is a fine balance between chemicals and light. It is a battle between your knowledge and your ability to adapt to the available surroundings. It is a fantastic representation of real life. Flawed, gritty, noisy, and sometimes down right beautiful.
I want this journal to tell the stories of real life, the behind the scenes moments that are not always picture perfect or definitively beautiful. I am honored to know some truly talented and creative photographers and storytellers who I will introduce in this issue. As you look at their photos I hope that you learn more about them on a human level and are offered a glimpse behind the curtain of societies expectations.
