Acerca del libro
This photographic journal maps an archive of one family's collections of photographs, diaries, letters, artefacts and found objects. Created by visual artist Jill Carter, who was invited to respond to a rural environ, a neglected dairy barn and its hidden inherited contents. Found was one red leather writing case and a tarnished key which began a process of discovery. The images document a series of intimate performative acts of selection, wrapping and placing collections into the light.

Acerca del creador
JILL CARTER

I am a digital storyteller. I love creating journals and badly behaved short run or one off art books/bags/bundles crammed full with quirky drawings, insightful and humorous text, photographs and archives of curios and found objects. As a visual artist, fine art trained, my practice explores how art can develop insight and inspiration, inspire creativity, acting as a catalyst for positive change, creativity and well-being. A natural chronicler, collector and curator, I enjoy playful, poetic and performative ways of responding to people, places and life.
