Acerca del libro
Corners define many of the spaces that surround us, in which we spend much of our time. They delineate the boundaries of our habitats that encompass us, yet command little of our attention. The work contained in this book is a typographic examination of corners in living spaces. The work is observational in nature and as such, no furniture has been moved and all light is that which was present in the rooms.
When attention is turned to these spaces in rooms, they reveal their interesting nature, both on their own as well as a reflection of the room they are in. Corners often echo the mood and tone of a room. For example, in poorly lit, rarely used space, the corner reflects the negation, both in terms of the light it reflects and the debris it contains. They often become dark, dank spaces inhabited by house hold pests. However, whatever the state of the corners, there is a sense of intrigue stored in the convergence of ceiling and walls, and this work seeks to communicate it.
