Acerca del libro
Henry Miller once said that, "One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things." Location has always been an integral part of shooting photography, but one can never underestimate the way in which the photographer chooses to look at certain space. The location and the view of the photographer play a key role in telling the story behind the image.
In this retrospective of work I have done during a semester abroad in Europe, I attempt to examine the role in which location and place play in photography. Set primarily amongst the transportation networks of Rome and venturing into other parts of the Italian and European cityscape and countryside, I work to show that there is always a new way to see things. Each place has the opportunity to present a unique story and direction, maybe one that a viewer wouldn't have thought of at first.
I shoot all my photographs on a Canon EOS Rebel XSi.
