Lyle grew up in Tasmania and started rock climbing at 15, at a time when there were few climbers and square miles of un-climbed rock. Marriage, kids, Sydney for 15 years, London for 17 years. Lyle continues to struggle with climbing and the onward rush of time. Nothing new in that.
