I am a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and member of its Contemporary Group. In 1996 I helped to establish a new forum, Lancashire Monochrome, which is dedicated to the appreciation of the monochrome image (in its founding year I was elected as President and continued to serve in that capacity until 2017 when relocating to Cumbria (maintaining affiliation thereafter as an Honourary Member), see: www.lancashiremonochrome.co.uk)
