Child homelessness in Managua, Nicaragua is on the rise. This book is dedicated to the children who have, in a sense, been thrown away and forgotten by society. It is a tribute to the courageous individuals I met in La Chureca, the city's garbage dump, in the streets, markets, and parks of Managua, and in the few much needed shelters for children.
