See www.janeappleby.com Jane Appleby is a prolific and intuitive painter having recieved several awards for her colourful expressions. She paints with the vigor of her love of life. She also does photography and writes a monthly blog about her "Artists Reflections". Jane’s favourite mediums are acrylic and oil although she is proficient in watercolours and mixed media also. She teaches art at several art centres including the Port Moody Arts Centre. She founded the six artist member group Passionate Outdoor Painters that paint on location and show together. Her first book included their paintings. Jane was born in the Czech Republic and immigrated to Vancouver in at a young age. She currently lives in Burnaby with her husband, has five adult children, a dog and two cats. She also frequents Galiano Island to paint, write and be inspired.
