Acerca del libro
Originally from Germany, Helmut (Pete) Beckmann lived in the United States from 1956 until his death in 2010. Primarily a painter of the outdoors, he found limitless inspiration in his adopted country, saying he was continually "overwhelmed and awed by the beauty and diversity of its landscape." His work conveys everything from rugged mountains to tranquil and picturesque forests with an energetic fervor.
Beckmann’s media include acrylic, oil, watercolor and, pastel. His enthusiasm for art is evident through his countless lectures and painting demonstrations on The Joy of Painting. His canvases have received numerous awards and are featured in several thousand corporate and private collections in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Beckmann lived and worked out of his studio gallery in Toledo, Ohio.
