i followed five young people from different areas in cape town for an entire day and photographed their daily life. i talked to them about their perceptions of opportunity, school, friends, fashion, drugs, music, sex, and family. i tried to listen as much as possible, and this is the participant-approved account of what life is like for five young people growing up in "post-apartheid" south africa.
