Acerca del libro
Hitkwewe is Lenape for among the trees. The Lenape, also called the Delaware Indians, have lived in these lands that I find inspiration. With this work I had used shadows and form to create a dialog between the literal and the abstract. I used multiple ways to abstract the last group of images, motion, blur, and using toy plastic lens. As you move through the book, you see different relationships between the photographs; such as in the beginning the tone of the photographs are open and bright, then the photographs are dark and mysterious, then finally the images disintegrates. Along with the breaks between the different sections, this helps create a rhythm throughout the work.
