Stéphane Ducret was born in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 1970 and currently lives and works in Geneva, Switzerland. He graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d’Art Visuel de Genève (now renamed HEAD, Haute Ecole d’Art et de Design). He was a recipient of the Leenaards Foundation Grant Award, the FCDAV | Fonds Cantonal d’art visuel, Geneva Award and had his studio residence in New York (1999-2001), Porto (2001-2002) and Buenos Aires (2006-2012). His work has been exhibited at the Forum d’Art Contemporain, Sierre; the Fundación OSDE, Buenos Aires; the Fondation de l’Hermitage, Lausanne; the Centro Cultural Borges, Buenos Aires, the Espace Arlaud, Lausanne, the Centre PasquArt, Bienne, the Musée cantonal des beaux-arts, Lausanne; the Artists Space, New York; the Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York and the Musée de Pully, Pully. Ducret’s work is included in the collections of BCV ART | Banque cantonale vaudoise, CICG | Centre international de conférences de Genève, AXA Assurances, Fonds cantonal d’art de Genève, Fonds des arts plastiques de Lausanne, Hôpital universitaire de Genève, Musée de Pully and the David Brolliet, Nicolas Torroni, Manuel Noriega and Hôtel La Cour des Augustins Collections.
