Acerca del libro
So Much Love To Give, Memoirs of Juanita Moore, is a biography compiled from Juanita’s handwritten journals. The book also includes background on the distinct culture of her family, who were Germans from Russia and pioneers on two continents. Her great-grandparents came from colonies around Odessa along the Black Sea in 1877 to homestead land on the North American prairie. The memoir concludes with some of Juanita’s favorite heirloom recipes, handed down from her mother and grandmothers. The book is written by her daughter, Teresa L. Moore, and traces Juanita’s life over the course of 85 years.
Born Juanita Johanna Griess in 1927. Her life began on the Great Plains of Nebraska. Juanita’s heartfelt writings express stories of what life was like, having to quit school at a young age and help raise her younger siblings, as well as work long hours doing many chores on the family farm. When Juanita secretly ran away and left her life on the farm, it came as a surprise to everyone, maybe even to herself.
Juanita’s story expresses her intense love of family and optimism for life. Her journey takes us into the new millennium as she embraces both heartache and triumph.
