Acerca del libro
It was back in 1984 when I saw The Baltic for the first time. I was 6 years old. I remember that very well. They were my first holidays so far away from home. We went on vacation – the four women. My mother, my fat aunt Luśka, her daughter and me. On that day, we were walking along a sandy path in a pine forest. Everything was so different. Different scents and sounds, especially that hollow roar, somewhere in the distance. We were walking long enough to score three or four cone-fights. The path was becoming more and more sandy with every step. On end, it was ascending steeply. I ran onto a high sand dune and – I saw. I believe only the discoverer of Tutankhamun's tomb might understand how I felt then. My mother says I asked her that night if only birds could see what's on the other side?
