"Occasionally" is a cookbook highlighting thirteen memorable menus from over forty years of "Occasions" with family and friends. The menus are enhanced by photographs provided by talented family members. Each menu details an "Occasion" like Easter Brunch, Valentine's Day Pot Luck Buffet, Cinco De Mayo or our Fireworks Supper The eight chapters that follow have over 310 recipes. The Bread chapter has basic bread recipes along with ten interesting spreads to make any meal special. Brunch includes recipes for six different quiche/pies, and a basic muffin recipe with seven flavors. All the brunch favorites like french toast, cinnamon rolls and crepes round out the chapter. Soups and Stews is a favorite with Cajun Joe's secret to fantastic sausage and chicken gumbo. The Salad chapter has twenty plus recipes including the most asked for "Denise's Salad". Main Dishes and Sides have a wide variety with over ninety choices, from Prime Rib and Yorkshire Pudding to traditional German Spaetzle, Enchiladas and Lasagna. Fifty five sides dishes give lots of ideas for that special meal. Years of cookie exchanges, cakes for every "Occasion", fudge and pies makes the Dessert Chapter the largest with 70 plus recipes including seven buttercream frosting flavors. As the author wrote in each book she gifted, "the book says it all". The book was written to encourage creating your own "Occasions" when possible.
