Born 1982 in Western Australia, Marc Terry Sommer soon started to travel around the world. Precisely when he was one year of age and his parents moved back to their homeland of Switzerland. Growing up, he documented his further journeys with his camera and began to discover his passion for the momentum of a taken picture and the various effects on its beholder. Besides working in information technology and development work and studying social anthropology & politics, he visited over 30 countries and every continent. On his way, he followed his passion for the photography of people and their environments. Always looking forward to catch the magic moments of daily life and beyond.

As a photographer he is now based near Berne, Switzerland, but works all around the country (Zurich, Basel, Geneva) and abroad (Latin America, Middle East, Europe).
