OPEN BOOKS PLUS - CHINA is a second edition of OPEN BOOKS, which accompanied the 2012 exhibition in the National Library of Wales. This is a second copy of OPEN BOOKS - CHINA with a couple of small additions. The original core group of 16 artists represented in OPEN BOOKS has been extended to 23 and they are joined by 41 Chinese artists. The artists and contributors featured in this book are from Australia, China, Hong Kong and the UK. It has a foreword by Welsh poet Tony Curtis and essays by our S E Asia contributors, Frank Vigneron and Joe Zhu. For the next exhibition which takes place in the Sanshang Museum of Contemporary Art, Hangzhou, China in November 2013, OPEN BOOKS PLUS becomes part of the Museum's annual DECANTER INK Celebration. These folding books form a wonderfully diverse exhibition and the OPEN BOOKS catalogues offer us a glimpse of it.
