After spending a 66 years living it and 3 years wirting it, I give most of the credit to my Alabama maternal grandmother, Alta Vines, who with great purpose taught me about cat-head biscuits, collard greens and blackberry clobber, and my loving creative parents, Clarice and Barron who guided my sister and me through the adventures of exotic foods and fine dining. Today my family and friends reap the many benefits of my wild culinary successes and failures with joy and laughter.
Over 40 years in the fashion and photography business has given me a great appreciation of all things beautiful and consumable. For example, my favorite pastime is perusing the aisle of boutique grocery stores. I have always said, if you can't wear it, live in it, or ride in it, "you must eat and drink it."
