The book explores a contrast between black and white and color photographs using various filters. Landforms, reflections, cloud formations, and other abstractions are illustrated.
Dr. Danny M. Vaughn is a national board certified mapping scientist (Geographic Information Systems/Land Information Systems, R132GS) registered with the American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing. He received a Ph.D. in Physical Geography at Indiana State University with graduate level minors in geology and statistics. His research has been in fluvial geomorphology, catastrophic events, and the mapping sciences. He is a former tenured Professor of Geosciences, who created and directed the Geomatics: Applied Mapping Sciences, and Geospatial Analysis programs at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Dr. Vaughn currently works as an Independent consultant and scholar with a group of professional scientists and educators developing on-line curriculum and programs incorporating geospatial analysis in Earth and environmental sciences (http://seros.us/moodle/).
