This book is a collection of recipes from an Italian-American family living in California's Central Valley and Bay Area. The recipes and pictures are from four generations spanning the time period from the early 1900's to the present. The recipes are an interesting mix of classic Italian cooking and dishes with more of an American influence. Pictures of family gatherings give an intimate look at the lives of the recipe-writers and at the culture of Italians in America over the generations. The book is meant to be as much of a historical record as it is a cookbook. However, the recipes are good enough to stand alone! Enjoy!
