"Interstate" is an artist’s book which originated from a project—visually very different—in gallery form. It explores two subjects with equal weight in the work: 1) the sense of place—or non-place—found on major autoroutes, and 2) the human perception of randomness. It employs found images of interstates and other major highways downloaded from the internet which have been subjected to multiple random operations for composition and sequence. See the book’s introduction for a more complete explanation.
It is also available as an ebook in a tablet edition.
