Acerca del libro
Join Larry Neel on safari through the national parks of Tanzania as he shares the images of a fifty-year dream come true. Larry's passion for wild animals and birds inspired him to become a wildlife biologist and award-winning wildlife photographer. Shadows In the Grass chronicles Larry's encounters with the magnificent wild creatures of Tanzania's national parks in the summer of 2013. His artistic photographic style is richly infused with the imagination of a child raised in the 1960's on the television adventure series Wild Kingdom, wild animal trading cards, and the art of Mary Baker, Walter Weber, Francis Lee Jacques, and Robert Bateman. Larry's photo art imagery has been described as "sensitive", "perceptive", and "obviously full of love for the subject". Shadows In The Grass brings the viewer up close and personal with the denizens of the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara and the Tarangire and Ruaha Rivers, revealing souls worthy of our respect and awe - magnificent beasts and heart-winning creatures worthy of our most earnest efforts of preservation to share the planet with and enrich the lives of our children and children's children throughout the rest of time.
Larry is a wildlife biologist retired from 30 years of service with Nevada Department of Wildlife. He is married and has one stepdaughter. His photography has appeared in Audubon magazine and The Nevada Review and he has won honors at Shooting The West and the ScottKelby Worldwide Photowalk 2012.
