Acerca del libro
All of the 1950s photos were taken by well-known truck photographer Robert Ward. The book features black and white and color photos. Photo essays of Ringsby Truck Lines (Freight Div.) and Little Audrey’s Transportation are included, along with a wide variety of other trucks. The trucking industry is a constantly changing arena, and when trucking history is gone, it’s gone forever. Many thanks to Robert for his efforts at photographing trucks over the years, without photos like these we would not have any history of trucking. This is a great collection of vintage trucks.

My husband, Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He passed away in 2019. His wife survives.
