In the Fall of 2012, we began to talk about taking a holiday in Spain during the winter of 2013. We had heard people talk enthusiastically about the Senior Tours trip to the Costa Del Sol, and we booked a four week Stay - Put holiday from March 11th to April 10th. The Costa del Sol is on the southern coast of Spain on the shores of the Mediterranean. Costa del Sol means Coast of the Sun, and it is the name given to the almost 300 kilometers of coastline stretching from Gibraltar in the East to Almunecar in the West. This area boasts 320 days of sunshine every year, enabling the visitors to enjoy miles of sandy beaches in addition to the local colour.
In Torremolinos we stayed at the Hotel Pez Espada located directly on the beach, next to the popular 'La Carihuela' area abundant with shops and restaurants, and within walking distance of the centre of Torremolinos. The Pez Espada was a comfortable and friendly four star hotel. We found it had a perfect combination of relaxed atmosphere and attentive service.
