Days after turning twenty one, Laura goes to bed and doesn’t get back up. Her doctor searches a range of ailments from Malaria to ME, until she eventually hears the words she’s due to hear a lot: clinical depression. Functioning with the help of medication, Laura continues with her life until slowly, she falls apart as she abandons everything she once sought, her only certainty becoming her diary. Failing to keep up with the cruel game of Life that everyone else seems to manage so well, she is forced to terminate her studies at University, asked to take leave from her job, and throws herself into a doomed, self-destructive love affair.
