When I was a young bride, a friend gave me a small white ring binder for recipes. As in all households it became "the recipe book". It contained scraps of paper, recipes handwritten from loved ones, now long dead and recipes from our Mothers and Grandmothers, as best we could get them, as we followed them around or phoned them. They were the recipes of our childhood, our heritage and now I want my children, nieces and nephews to have them. So I have made an effort to compile and get them on paper. This book is the result.

I love your title...I couldn't stop laughing because it is something my own family members have said...
