I have known Edouard for many years and throughout this time have been privileged to photograph his sculptures. I have probably looked at them in detail more than most and have always admired the uncanny sense of form he has achieved using such unfriendlly materials. Often when I am lighting them in my studio I half expect them to come to life.

Depuis des années que je connais Edouard, j'ai le privilège de photographier ses sculptures. Je les ai probablement regardées en détail plus que quiconque et j'ai toujours admiré son sens de la forme qu'il atteint en utilisant pourtant des matériaux inamicaux. Parfois quand je les éclaire dans mon studio, je m'attends à ce qu'elles s'éveillent.
