This book explores the hidden power of the mind by telling the story of a solider who is able to relive the past through reoccurring memories of his beloved late-wife. Based in the post-apocalyptic future wrought with war and desolation, he is forced by scientist to travel into the past in order to kill a man of interest. All the while, the solider's estranged brother living in the present day tries to find him and to understand the vision of a strange cathedral that haunts them both. Inspired by Chris Marker’s photo-roman film, La Jetée, this film also applies this often neglected technique of story-telling using narration, sound effects and animated photos. This dynamic method of still-image narrative doesn't just tell a story in a new and interesting way but helps emphasize the lasting power a single image can have on a person's memory.
