Born and raised in Richmond, VA, Dana Frostick has always centered her life around creating artwork, focusing on painting as her primary medium in her teens. Frostick studied sculpture at VCU in the early to mid '80's but remained dedicated to painting throughout.

During her career at Richmond Newspapers from 1982-1998 in pre-press design and then in online publishing, Frostick met her second husband, Richard Cornwell, who encouraged her pursuit of art on a full-time basis.

She has won multiple awards in juried shows and her work has been accepted into several National and Regional exhibitions. She has exhibited her work extensively in solo and group shows in around Virginia and in venues located in New York, Omaha, and Washington, D.C.

Since 2000, Frostick has been a member of artspace, a non-profit gallery for visual and performing arts located in Richmond, where her work is frequently on view.
